Wedding Ceremony Music
We were honoured to provide the music for the beautiful wedding ceremony of Hannah & Aaron at this beautiful South Yorkshire location.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was filled with love and joy. The ceremony was enhanced by carefully chosen music that perfectly captured the couple’s personalities and the significance of the day:
Bridal Entrance: A Thousand Years – Christina Perri
Signing of the Register: Your Song – Elton John
Exit Music: Marry You – Bruno Mars
Hymns: All Things Bright and Beautiful and Amazing Grace to start and end the ceremony
Every piece added to the warmth and emotion of the celebration, creating memories that Hannah & Aaron — and their guests — will treasure forever.
We wish them a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and music! Thank you again for letting us be part of your beautiful story.
The Fern String Quartet can be very flexible at religious services. We are a multi and no faith group, with experience of performing for Church of England, Methodist, Baptist, Catholic and secular services. We welcome the opportunity to work with other musicians, such as singers or organists.
You may need to have a discussion with your Minister or Priest about what kind of music is allowed before making any choices.

Planning Music for a Church Wedding
-
Yes, we love performing in churches in and around South Yorkshire. The accustics are usually lovely and the music carries all the way down or up the aisle without the need for any amplification.
-
Absolutley! We love couples to take control of their music choices. We have pre-selected ceremony repertoire, but you are welcome to suggest other music.
-
Hymns are optional, but can be a lovely addition to a wedding, especially if they have meaning to the couple or the familes. They can be woven into your cermeony, with guidance from your minister about where to place them.
-
We will speak with the Vicar / Minister / Priest to ensure that we are all “singing from the same hymn sheet”. If there is an organist or separate musician, we will ensure we are aware of each other and that we know what has been agreed prior to the ceremony starting. We can of course work with any musician and collaborate with them.
Other FAQs

Yes, we can perform for as much or as little of the music as you would like us to be involved with. This may be on our own, or in collaboration with another musician, such as an organist. Church of England wedding ceremonies do tend to be relaxed about music choices, but a chat with your minister will ensure you hit the right note.

This is where it is very useful to sit down with your minister and discuss what they feel is appropriate. Some are open to just about anything and some have more strict guidlines. We can perform classical, pop or religious music, including hymns.
