Set within beautiful landscaped grounds in Derbyshire, Ringwood Hall provides an elegant and romantic setting for couples looking to create a truly memorable wedding day. When we were invited to perform for Kellee and Jason, we knew their choice of venue and their love of Bridgerton-inspired music would make for a particularly special celebration.
A beautiful marquee wedding at Ringwood Hall
For Kellee and Jason's wedding, the celebrations took place in a beautifully decorated marquee at Ringwood Hall Hotel.
The marquee created an elegant and versatile space for both the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, giving the couple plenty of opportunity to create their own atmosphere and personal style.
For us as musicians, it was also the perfect setting for live string music. As guests arrived and enjoyed drinks together, the quartet provided a sophisticated musical backdrop before continuing into the wedding breakfast.
Bringing Bridgerton to a Derbyshire wedding
Kellee had a clear vision for the music. She wanted the romantic, sophisticated sound associated with Bridgerton — the familiar songs and contemporary music transformed into elegant string arrangements.
It's a style that works particularly beautifully at weddings. The sound of a string quartet gives modern songs a timeless quality, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and personal without overwhelming the conversation and celebrations around it.
And while Bridgerton was the inspiration, Kellee and Jason's musical choices weren't limited to classical elegance.
During the celebrations, we performed 360 by Charli XCX, demonstrating just how much variety can be created with a string quartet. One moment the music can feel romantic and refined; the next, a contemporary pop favourite can completely change the energy of the room.
