We hired the Fern Quartet after seeing them at the Arches Wedding Fayre. We knew from the moment we heard them that we wanted them to play at our wedding in July. The communication was brilliant, and at request were able to learn and play a specific song for me to walk down the aisle to. Really brilliant - would recommend to anyone.

Wedding season officially began today for our quartet. We were playing at The West Mill Exclusive Use Wedding Venue for the wedding drinks reception of Megan & Matthew….

They invite only the best of the best local wedding businesses to display their wares in a beautiful setting. We love to have the chance to chat with our couples and answer any questions on the day. Sophie’s “works big” and her imposing sculptures which are inspired by animals and mystical creatures have been exhibited globally in Canada, the U.S.A. Germany and Sweden, alongside major exhibitions at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Often displayed in rural settings, the show at The Piece Hall will represent a rare opportunity for her work to be seen in an urban setting, against the backdrop of our Grade I listed building’s beautiful stone façade.

The Fern Quartet of South Yorkshire has been awarded best Wedding Music and DJs in the Hitched Wedding Awards 2022. This accolade demonstrates how valued this vendor is within the sector, as so many couples they have worked with have left them positive feedback.

You set the bar for entertainment in our garden!

The Fern Quartet played the most wonderful music for our wedding ceremony. I made an unusual request for my aisle song and they were so accommodating and learned the song perfectly, it was such a magical moment. They played some beautiful versions of our favourite pop songs and even had all of the bridesmaids singing along! We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the wedding and I absolutely recommend them to any other brides.

We played our first post pandemic performance at The Arches in Dean Clough (https://thearchesdeanclough.com/). This is a lovely industrial venue inside an old Mill.

We were honoured to be asked to play at the wedding of Christopher & Rachel in Crathorne Hall, Yarm. They chose a perfectly beautifully sunny day at the beginning of Autumn to get married and we played during their ceremony and then drinks reception.

We were invited to play for the drinks reception and then the meal / wedding breakfast of Rachel and Sean. The reception was held at Oulton Hall on one of the last sun filled (though a little windy) days of the summer. Their whole wedding seemed to be lego themed.

We were so lucky to be loaned four beautiful “occasion wear” gowns for our photo shoot by Megan at Cristello Couture in Penistone. They instantly made us all feel gorgeous and really added to the look for our photoshoot at St Johns church.
