String Quartet at Airedale Barn, East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley

Airedale Barn at East Riddlesden Hall is a beautiful National Trust wedding venue in West Yorkshire, and we were delighted to return to this stunning setting to provide live string quartet music for a special wedding anniversary celebration.

Set on the outskirts of Keighley in Riddlesden, East Riddlesden Hall is a National Trust property with a fascinating history, beautiful gardens and the atmospheric Airedale Barn, making it a wonderful setting for weddings and celebrations.

For this particular celebration, we were booked by John to perform as a string quartet during the evening drinks reception, creating a relaxed and romantic musical backdrop before guests were invited through for dinner.

Airedale Barn – a beautiful National Trust wedding venue

There is something particularly special about holding a wedding at a National Trust venue, and East Riddlesden Hall in West Yorkshire has all the character you would expect from a historic National Trust property.

The estate combines a historic 17th-century manor house with beautiful gardens, a pond, woodland and the charming Airedale Barn. The barn provides a more relaxed and contemporary setting while retaining the character of the surrounding historic estate.

Located in Riddlesden, close to Keighley and Bradford, Airedale Barn at East Riddlesden Hall offers couples the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful countryside-style wedding venue while remaining conveniently located in West Yorkshire.

Wedding music at this National Trust venue

For John's wedding anniversary celebration, The Fern Quartet performed throughout the evening drinks reception until the guests were called through for the meal.

The music included a mixture of romantic favourites, well-known pop songs, film music and classical pieces:

  • A Whole New World

  • Can You Feel the Love Tonight

  • I Do, I Do, I Do

  • One Day Like This

  • It Must Be Love

  • Greatest Day

  • All You Need Is Love

  • Perfect

  • Can't Help Falling in Love

  • For the Love of a Princess

  • Fields of Gold

  • Gabriel's Oboe

  • Hallelujah – Leonard Cohen

  • Stand By Me

  • Let It Go

The varied repertoire worked particularly well for a drinks reception, creating an elegant musical atmosphere while still allowing guests to chat, mingle and enjoy the celebration.

Why choose a National Trust wedding venue?

National Trust wedding venues offer something rather different from a traditional hotel or purpose-built wedding venue. Historic buildings, beautiful gardens and carefully preserved surroundings provide a sense of character and history that can make a wedding feel truly memorable.

At East Riddlesden Hall, couples have the opportunity to celebrate within a historic estate while making use of the modern facilities of Airedale Barn.

For couples who love historic buildings, beautiful gardens and venues with a real sense of place, it is easy to see why Airedale Barn is such an appealing National Trust wedding venue in Yorkshire.

And live music fits naturally into that setting.
