Elegant Church Wedding Music at St Andrew's Church, Kirton in Lindsey | Faye & Peter
There is something timeless about a traditional church wedding, especially when accompanied by live string music.
We were delighted to provide the soundtrack for Faye and Peter's beautiful wedding ceremony at St Andrew's Church in Kirton in Lindsey, helping to create an elegant and memorable atmosphere from the moment guests arrived until the newlyweds walked back down the aisle together.
For couples dreaming of a classic English wedding, a professional string quartet adds warmth, romance and a sense of occasion that recorded music simply can't replicate. Whether performing much-loved classical pieces or contemporary love songs arranged for strings, live music transforms every part of the ceremony into something truly unforgettable.
Creating the Perfect Atmosphere
As guests gathered inside the historic church, our quartet welcomed everyone with a selection of relaxed classical and contemporary pieces, setting the tone for the celebrations ahead.
The bridal entrance is one of the most emotional moments of any wedding day, and hearing your chosen piece performed live creates an experience that photographs and videos simply cannot capture. Throughout the signing of the register and the joyful exit, live music helped every transition feel seamless while adding a touch of elegance to the occasion.
One of the wonderful things about performing in historic churches is the natural acoustics. The rich sound of a string quartet fills the space beautifully without the need for amplification, creating an intimate and immersive experience for both the couple and their guests.
Why Live Music Works So Well for Church Weddings
Historic churches remain one of the most beautiful settings for a wedding ceremony, and a string quartet has been part of these celebrations for generations.
Many of our couples choose a mixture of classical favourites alongside modern love songs, creating a ceremony that feels both traditional and personal. Whether it's Canon in D, A Thousand Years, Perfect or a favourite film soundtrack, every piece can become part of your own story.
Live music also allows every important moment to flow naturally, from welcoming your guests to celebrating your first walk together as a married couple.
A Wedding Filled with Personal Touches
Faye and Peter created a day that reflected their personalities perfectly, combining the beauty of a traditional church ceremony with a relaxed and elegant celebration afterwards.
As musicians, we love being part of weddings like this because every performance feels unique. Watching guests smile as familiar melodies fill the church, seeing the emotion on family members' faces during the bridal entrance, and helping create memories that last a lifetime is why we love what we do.
Guests arrived to the timeless sounds of Canon, She and Gabriel's Oboe, before Peter's choice, How Long Will I Love You?, set the tone for the ceremony. Faye made her entrance to the unforgettable Can't Help Falling in Love, followed by the congregation singing Love Divine, All Loves Excelling.
During the signing of the register, our quartet performed Vivaldi Spring and Handel's Hornpipe, before the happy couple made their joyful exit to All You Need Is Love.
Congratulations to Faye & Peter, and thank you for letting us be part of your special day!
